My name is Maddie Cohen, and I am a freelance writer, editor, and photographer. A former NBC affiliate reporter, I sit on the board of Lake Superior Writers, a non-profit organization based in Duluth, Minnesota, and work with clients from around the world.
After earning my degree in French literature from UC Berkeley ('14), I moved to Montana, where I worked in broadcast news and developed an eye for storytelling. I have a knack for writing from others' perspectives, and incorporate the client's voice and mission into all my work.
If we work together, I'll help you communicate in a way that resonates with your target audience and keeps them coming back for more of what you have to say. Content can add so much depth to brands -- it can give them a voice, a unique personality -- and this is where I come in.
I'm based in Northern Minnesota, and spend my weekends on the Superior Hiking Trail with a camera on my hip and my black Lab Clive by my side. My clients know they can count on me because I take the time to focus on their projects both in front of and away from the computer, on the trail, where I feel most creative.
